Washim Akram is a full-time Ph.D. scholar in the Centre for Earth Sciences at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc). He has obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Physics from Ramakrishna Mission Vidyamandira (Calcutta University), Kolkata. Then he pursued his master’s in science and technology (M.Sc-Tech) degree in Applied Geophysics from IIT-ISM, Dhanbad. He has an interest in work related to Computational Seismology. He likes developing and improving algorithms for Geophysical Signal Processing, Earthquake Seismology, wave propagation, and finding its applications. He enjoys working with Machine Learning and its applications in Geophysics.
